Serving the Oxford Hills Region

Second Mountain Internal Medicine provides home-based primary care to homebound seniors throughout Oxford County and the Lewiston-Auburn area of Androscoggin County. Dr. Matulis comes directly to your home — whether you live in a town center, a rural road, or an assisted living community in the Oxford Hills area.

Transportation should never be a barrier to primary care. That is why Dr. Matulis built this practice around patients who cannot easily make it to a clinic — residents of the Oxford Hills region who need the same quality of care available in major medical centers, delivered at home.

If you are not sure whether your address falls within our service area, call or text us at 207-492-4642. We will let you know right away — no obligation.

Communities We Serve

Norway & South Paris

Oxford County's largest town and county seat, Norway and South Paris are at the heart of the Oxford Hills region. Many seniors in this area rely on home-based primary care because transportation to Lewiston or Portland is impractical.

Auburn

Part of the Lewiston-Auburn metro area, Auburn is Androscoggin County's second-largest city and home to a significant senior population. We serve homebound patients throughout Auburn who prefer care at home over clinic visits.

Lewiston

Maine's second-largest city, Lewiston has a large and diverse senior community. For residents who find office visits difficult, Dr. Matulis provides the same standard of internal medicine care without leaving home.

Turner

A rural community between Auburn and the Oxford Hills, Turner is home to many older adults for whom transportation to medical appointments is a real challenge, especially through Maine winters.

Hebron

A small Oxford Hills community and home to Dr. Matulis himself, Hebron and its surrounding area is a core part of our service area. Rural patients here benefit most from care that comes to them.

Minot

Located between Auburn and the Oxford Hills, Minot is a rural community where getting to a primary care office can be difficult for older adults who no longer drive or who have significant health limitations.

Buckfield

A rural Oxford County community along the Androscoggin River, Buckfield is within our regular service area. Homebound patients here receive full primary care without the drive to a clinic.

Paris

Adjacent to South Paris and Norway in the heart of Oxford County, Paris is surrounded by rural communities. Seniors in this area who struggle with transportation are a natural fit for home-based primary care.

Surrounding Communities

We also serve patients in Otisfield, Mechanic Falls, Poland, Oxford, Greenwood, Waterford, West Paris, and other Oxford Hills communities. Call us to confirm your town is covered.
